only two states -- Alaska and Connecticut -- topped the Golden State's subpar scores in the Center for Public Integrity's national rankings, released Monday, and they only received C's.
The nonpartisan group's survey -- which gauged the effectiveness of laws designed to stop public corruption -- slammed the rest of the states with no better than D's while 11 states received F's.
The poor national results "are nothing short of stunning," the Center for Public Integrity's Nicholas Kusnetz, who managed the project, wrote on its website.
